Historical overview:
National private school was established in 1982. It is recognized as one of the first private schools in Oman . It began only with kindergarten and grades one and two.
Year after year, it became greater in the size, quantity and scope of education. In 1997/1998 the first batch of General Secondary Certificate of general education graduated . The school adapts the three systems of education that include general education , bilingual and IGCSE courses .
Our school seeks to mingle the Omani Arab culture with the most up-to-date method of education and technology . It always places a great emphasis on students’ personalities so that they can play vital roles in building their country . In addition an excellent group of experienced teachers from different countries who spare no effort to provide students with all opportunities of learning new skills which help them in increasing their academic level, therefore they can join local and International Universities .

أشرقت شمس مدارس الوطنية الخاصة في عام 1982 م وتعد بذلك من أوائل المدارس الخاصة بالسلطنة حيث كانت البداية تقتصر على رياض الأطفال والصفين الأول والثاني من الحلقة الأولى لتستمر مدارس الوطنية الخاصة في مسيرتها التعليمية تتوسع عاما بعد عام لتشهد افتتاح فرعها الثاني في المعبيلة الجنوبية الذي ضم في البداية مرحلة رياض الأطفال في عام 2012م كما تم تتويج المسيرة التعليمية لمدارس الوطنية الخاصة بافتتاح المرحلة التأسيسة لتضم فصول الحلقة الأولى للصفوف من الأول الأساسي إلى الرابع الأساسي في عام 2015م.
تحرص مدارس الوطنية الخاصة على المزج بين الموروث الثقافي العربي العماني وأحدث وسائل التعليم والتقنيات العلمية المتطورة في العالم، كما تهتم مدارس الوطنية ببناء وصقل شخصية الطالب وجعله عضوا فاعلا ومؤثرا في المجتمع و تضم مدارس الوطنية كوكبة من خيرة المعلمين العرب والأجانب ليكونوا فريق عمل يجمع بين الأصالة والمعاصرة مما انعكس على تفوق وتميز أبناء مدارس الوطنية الخاصة في مراحل التعليم المبكروتأهيلهم لشق طريقهم بكفاءة في المراحل القادمة من سلَم التعليم.
